I grew up in central NY state and earned a B.A. from SUNY-Binghamton in Literature and Language. I was fascinated by how language itself had developed over the long course of history and developed a love for Charles Dickens. Later I earned an M.A. in Social Science from the same school, which allowed me to work with the university students who had ADD and learning disabilities and became Binghamton University's first Learning Disabilities Specialist.
It was in this capacity that I listened to students' stories of their lives - some were fascinating but many were stories of hardship and difficulty in their former countries before they had managed to find freedom and opportunity in the U.S.
I returned to graduate school at Binghamton University with the goal of completing my M.A. in English Literature. To help in my work as LD Specialist, I took every Teaching of College....course I could find, but I also delved deeper into 19th Century literature and Dickens' works themselves.
One course shy of my M.A., I moved away from the Binghamton area to marry the man of my dreams (who has remained so in my mind for the last 8 years). Rather than continue my coursework, I chose instead to edit his science papers and books. Along the way, I indulged my growing curiosity with quantum and scalar physics. In the lulls between editing his work, I began to write and pubish my novels. My own life experiences, those of my former students and the new science I was digesting mixed in my mind and has played out in my writing.
Welcome to the world of my imagination!
